New D.C. Law Will Ban Employers From Firing Workers For Positive Marijuana Tests

The city council in Washington, D.C. passed a bill on Tuesday that bans employers from firing workers who test positive for marijuana

The new law, named the Cannabis Employment Protections Amendment Act of 2022, would also stop employers and private companies from firing or refusing to hire an employee because of their medical or recreational marijuana use. 

According to the Washington Post, the bill makes
